Final Debate Writing

This story was definitely something new for me to read, it was interesting too, not a boring story. Preparing for the debate was fun to do because I got to give my own opinions against the other characters and proving how Jeanette was best wolf girl compared to Mirabella and Claudette. My thoughts towards this story was how its sad how sisters that grew up together slowly grow apart once their parents sent them to st. Lucy because they wanna be better than each other like a competition and Claudette was being really selfish towards her other sisters especially Mirabella. Claudette was very self centered because she wanted to be better than her sisters and she was the main reason why Mirabella got kicked out, that is why I didn't agree with Claudette being best wolf girl. Mirabella was not best wolf girl either because she wasn't a fast learner, yes she was loyal to her wolf life but she isn't like Jeanette that is more advanced meaning she would also have no problem with going back to her wolf life. Some of my struggles was when Mirabellas team kept saying how Mirabella was best wolf girl because she stayed loyal and didn't want to be used to living a regular human life, this was a struggle because I couldn't think of any best comback at that moment but I did know Mirabella was just a bother to the others girls and no one liked her either meaning she is not best wolf girl. At the end we did get to prove Mirabella's team wrong because they kept saying how Jeanette was just selfish meanwhile she was just being fair so you can say that was our achievement.

              Assimilation   when you want to hide away what makes you unique, individual, and special to fit in with others as "normal" like speaking a different language, wear traditional clothes, have a different religion, culture, hair, or skin tone. Assimilation can affect many students because many people follow trends and wanna be like others and its not only in Beach wood its everywhere including Richmond Hill, some girls can't dress like others so they feel ashamed and want to get rid of it or students may not like the way their hair is so they try to change themselves. I believe no one should try and change their culture just to "fit in" because culture is a beautiful way to express yourself uniquely without feeling ashamed, should be something you should be proud of and others have to learn to be supportive because no one is the same in this world everyone has their differences.
